RPM Academy, LLC under the direction of Susan Huttman, former GWRRA Rider Education Program Director and Lorrie M. Thomas, former Director of GWRRA University is a reality. The Academy has evolved from discussions of “what can we do to keep the University and Rider Education alive” to a solid foundation of classes, courses, modules, and seminars available to all who believe ongoing education is essential. This leads to the following factual points:

• RPM Academy was granted full ownership of and has assumed responsibility for the administration of all GWRRA programs. The Curriculum has been updated to reflect the most current and accurate statistics and topic studies available. All former GWRRA Program Instructors in Rider Education, University and HSI have been notified they became RPM Academy Instructors effective Sunday, January 1st, 2023. Most instructors who were contacted have expressed an interest in continuing to serve others through the RPM.

• Academy Instructors will provide presentations in rider safety, personal growth, and management skills, based on their specific certification. RPM Academy will ensure their proficiency, timely recertification, and continue to offer opportunities to achieve their goals. RPM Academy will also offer opportunities for any individual to pursue their interest in becoming an Academy Instructor.

• Academy classes and courses are available to anyone with the desire to participate regardless of their personal affiliation with a recognized association or organization. Independent individuals with no formal group affiliation are also welcome to participate.

• The point of contact to plan and schedule University and Rider Education events will be RPM Academy. The Academy will work closely with those you acknowledge as your current team members whose focus is on education and training regardless of the group, association, or organization. They will recognize the needs and wants of your Chapter and Districts. RPM Academy HSI (First Aid/CPR/AED) Director RPM Academy HSI Director Laurel Kuehl is the contact for instructors and First Aid/CPR/AED class requests.

• The major difference in the structure of the Programs under RPM Academy is that we assume responsibility for the financial support of the instructors, that they may need to bring the training to you. Policies for mileage and assistance with hotels have been established. Therefore, the fees for First Aid/CPR/AED and the Rider Education Classes will be paid directly to the Academy via US Mail (at the address shown above) or electronically online at: RPM Academy Online Registration.

• Class attendance, recertification documentation and Levels maintenance record keeping will be managed by the Academy. Because sites for educational and training events must be area-specific, identifying suitable classroom and range space will be the responsibility of the source of the request in coordination with RPM . Insurance will ONLY be furnished for courses and classes planned in cooperation with RPM Academy LLC.

We look forward to bringing you the Programs you requested.
